Tanker Trade was originally set up by Brian Newton in the 1970's as an independent company in the South Midlands principally sales of used fuel tankers but also LPG tankers, tank trailers and associated equipment to the domestic and worldwide markets. Brian worked for Ryland Tankers who were main agents for Atkinson, Seddon, Perkins and Gardner engines and eventually sub agents for Vauxhall Bedford. They reconditioned Gardner engines for Wolverhampton corporation Transport, noteworthy fact is in 1960 the Ryland Directors owned Fleet Hire who supplied tankers to Petrofina and later started Whale tankers effluent vehicle suppliers. TankerTrade.com has been operational in the road tanker industry manufacturing and exporting trucks worldwide for decades. Our administrative office is based in Petersfield near Southampton port and have fully staffed sites in Stratford upon Avon and Sandbach

In 2021 the business developed further when it amalgamated with the UK’s leading tanker dealer focussing on the export markets for Southern Africa, The Caribbean and beyond. The new website was created and launched in early 2024 to cater for the burgeoning markets being set up to work well on PC as well as android, apple and all new platforms.
